Record crowd and salvation miracle concluded the crusade year 2009!

“This is a miracle”, Pastor Getu cried out, when multitude of Ethiopians responded on Pastor Tommy’s invitation to salvation. “Never would we have expected that so many would come to Jesus”, he went on. “This is a true work of God.”

The three day long crusade in Awasa Ethiopia was part of celebrating Awasa’s 50 anniversaries as a Church. Awasa is located in the Bible belt and has a significant position and mission concerning the future Church growth in Ethiopia.

Even if this is a city that has seen some crusades, the PTL crusade in December 2009, was the largest ever. “This is the biggest crowd Awasa ever gathered on a crusade”, said Pastor Getu, the leading Pastor in the district of Awasa, who together with the rest of the crusade committee was overwhelmed concerning the result.

In the power of the Holy Spirit, the Churches of Awasa did a great work preparing and organizing the crusade.

Along with the crusade Pastor Tommy conducted a two day seminar on the subject of his book “I will build my church and you shall be my witnesses.” The book had also been translated and was distributed to the delegates.

Now the Churches of Awasa has divided the decision of salvation cards among them and started to follow up and visit every new convert. The coming spring will be a never ending baptism festival. Praise the Lord for that!
